Our Vision
We intend to establish a fully sustainable biodiversity nature conservation park that protects our land, ecosystems, and cultural heritage. Create a central place for eco-tourism and traditional culture dedicated to the people of Simbu.
Our Mission
Our mission is all about creating a vast protected area of biodiversity conservation park using appropriate local knowledge in design, landscape, and building construction that hallmarks our cultural practices and reflects sustainable uses of natural resources such as water, plants, wildlife, and traditional tree management as well as fostering awareness to reduce local environmental treat to protect our heritage
Our Goal
We work towards preserving and restoring the traditional Simbu culture and customs, along with the preservation and protection of native flora and fauna for tourist attraction and local rehabilitation.
The overall objectives of DNC are:
1. To conserve and protect the natural biodiversity targeting indigenous plants species and its habitat
2. To reforest and restored degraded areas in Suai LLG through local actions
3. To raise public awareness promoting environment education, increasing knowledge and understanding of biodiversity and climate change issues
4. To take local action in enhancing climate resilience and adaptation
5. To promote and empower community participation especially Youth, women and create beneficial opportunity to vulnerable and disadvantage in marginalized communities for sustainable livelihood.
Where are we?
Dika Suna Nature Conservation Inc was established in 2020 to address the growing challenges of Biodiversity loss and climate change, in Sinasina Yongomugl District of Simbu Province in Papua New Guinea.
Through the years DNC strive to take local actions by working closely with our local community in the SUAI LLG, Emai Village and the neighbouring villages in Sinasina Yongomugl District of Simbu Province to protect and preserve our natural biodiversity. The organization is dedicated to important environmental initiatives including preservation, reforestation and restoration of degraded areas, protection of indigenous plants habitats, and promoting sustainable livelihoods. We work to conserve our natural biodiversity and ecosystems through local actions.

Kalale Kaupa, the Founder and CEO of Dikasuna Nature Conservation, is the man on the ground who is responsible for the daily operations of the organization. With his profound love for nature and expertise as a master landscaper, Kalale has played a pivotal role in leading DNC to its current milestone achievements. His dedication and visionary leadership have been instrumental in guiding our organization's growth and success.

Gardener
Kiap hails from Tari, situated in the Hela Province of Papua New Guinea. He is renowned for his exceptional expertise in gardening and landscaping. Residing within the park's premises, Kiap has admirably dedicated himself as a voluntary full-time park ranger, a commitment that he has upheld since the establishment of Dikasuna Nature Conservation in 2019. His remarkable gardening acumen, coupled with his unwavering dedication to the cause, has proven indispensable in safeguarding and preserving our precious natural heritage under the aegis of Dikasuna.

Kobla Sawan, hailing from Omkolai in the Gumine District of Simbu Province, is a dedicated nature conservationist with a distinct focus on nursery management and plant care within the park. His adeptness in constructing and maintaining nurseries, coupled with his skilled tree planting, underscores his pivotal role in fostering a thriving ecosystem. As a devoted full-time volunteer, Kobla's passion for plants is palpable, making him an invaluable asset in both gardening and landscaping initiatives. His unwavering commitment contributes significantly to the park's natural magnificence and preservation efforts.

Currently an undergraduate in the Computer Science program at the University of the South Pacific, Fiji, Garai seamlessly merges his passion for technology with his commitment to environmental conservation. Garai's role extends beyond the digital realm. His adeptness in computer science has been instrumental in meeting our ICT needs, allowing us to effectively showcase and disseminate our conservation efforts to a global audience.
